Welcome to The Armory!

We are really excited to launch Disciple Armor! Think of it as more of a warehouse of tools than a store—a warehouse where you can find what you need to support you on your journey of discipleship!

How did this come about?

One morning after a very rainy week, I was getting ready for work and I saw (in my imagination) all of the homeless people on my route wearing jackets that said PEACE on the front, and instructions for how to find peace on the back. Passersby were seeing all of these people wearing Disciple Armor Jackets, and visiting the website that was on the back to learn about what this was. Once at the website, people were learning about Jesus, the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). He is hiding in plain sight right at the center of PEACE, which you can see in the graphic if you take a close look.

The path of peace is accessible through Jesus Christ alone, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. "He existed before anything else, and He holds all creation together” (Colossians 1:17 NLT). We hope to win people over to Jesus that may have been forgotten by the world. As we clothe them with our new Disciple Armor Jackets, we want them to know that Jesus has not forgotten them!

The apostle Paul wrote this in his letter to the Romans, taken from Isaiah 59:8:

"...the path of peace they have not known." (Romans 3:17 HCSB)

but then...

"Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace.” (Luke 1:78-79 NLT)

We all can find peace, no matter who we are or what we have done, because God has chosen to guide us into peace Himself through His Son. Jesus lived a perfect life, free from sin, and He was crucified on a Roman cross after serving His Father here on Earth. Jesus gave His life for you and for me. He died as a sacrifice for us for the forgiveness of our sin, and He was buried in a borrowed tomb. On the third day, Jesus was resurrected to life, conquering the grave and conquering death. The good news of Jesus is that He is very much alive and well, and He left a path of peace that we can follow. It is His gift to us!

"I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid." (John 14:27 NLT)

Do you want to get on the path of peace? Confess with your mouth that Jesus is the Lord, and believe with your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved! (Romans 10:9)

There are no gimmicks. You are now a son or daughter of Jesus, the one true King!

Salvation is the mission here as we are nearing the end of human history, and are at the brink of Christ's return for His believers.
